Financial District

The Financial District is located at the southern tip of Manhattan. It encompasses some of the most beautiful and famous highlights of New York, including the South Street Seaport, the World Financial Center, the New York Stock Exchange, access to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Over recent years, the area has been undergoing a dramatic transformation, as evidenced by the explosion of residential development within the district. Within the Financial District, Battery Park City can be found west of West Street to along the Hudson River. Home to Stuyvesant High School, beautiful parks, and the Financial District, Battery Park City is a great place to live, work and play. Subway: The 1 and 9 stop at Rector or South Ferry. The 2,3 and 4,5 express lines stop at Wall Street and Fulton Street (on different spots). A,C trains stop at Fulton Street as well while the J,M,Z trains make stops at Fulton Street and Broad Street. Catch the east side R,W train at Cortland, Rector or Whitehall.
